One of the most rewarding aspects of what we do is trying to decide whether the piece we are looking at should become a functional piece of art, or whether it's inherent beauty requires that it become a "stand-alone" freeform wood sculpture.
Here are a couple pieces we've done that fall into that "stand-alone" category. The first is a piece of twisted red cedar that came from the Badlands of North Dakota (don't worry - it was taken off private land with the landowner's permission). The second is a piece of "knarled" ponderosa pine from our own property here in Pine, Colorado. More will be added as we complete them.
